Overview

Why choose our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration laboratory?

At Temprecord, precision is at the heart of everything we do. Our New Zealand-based calibration laboratory is accredited to the international standard ISO/IEC 17025, allowing us to issue calibration certificates with full confidence and global acceptance. Whether you operate in pharmaceutical, food production, healthcare, research or logistics sectors, our calibration services deliver the accuracy, traceability and documentation your monitoring system demands.

Globally recognised accreditation

Our laboratory is accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 by International Accreditation New Zealand (IANZ), providing the traceability and confidence required by government regulators and audits worldwide.

Comprehensive temperature & humidity calibration

We perform 3-point temperature calibrations and 2-point humidity calibrations, covering extensive ranges including ultra-low temperatures down to -196 °C.

Low uncertainty measurement

Our calibration uncertainty is as low as ±0.2 °C over the range –20 °C to +50 °C (or ±0.8 °C for -90 °C to +110 °C range), ensuring high-precision results.

Calibration corrections built into loggers

Each logger is adjusted with correction factors during manufacturing, reducing user-error and strengthening data reliability.

Audit-ready certificates & traceability

Every calibration includes a certificate with full traceability to national standards, ready for regulatory submission and internal quality assurance.

ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited Calibration Laboratory

Trusted, certified and globally recognised accuracy.

Temprecord operates an ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibration laboratory, authorised by IANZ (International Accreditation New Zealand) to issue endorsed calibration certificates for temperature and humidity.

Every Temprecord calibration is performed to international standards, ensuring traceable accuracy, audit-ready documentation, and full compliance for regulated industries worldwide.

Combined temperature & humidity calibration

Each calibration is issued as a combined or shared certificate, including:

3-point correction for Temperature

2-point correction for Humidity

This comprehensive dual-parameter process ensures complete traceability and accuracy across your Temprecord data loggers.

Temperature calibration accuracy

For standard three-point temperature calibrations, Temprecord achieves:

±0.2 °C over the range –20 °C to +50 °C (or –40 °C to +50 °C for low-temperature loggers)

±0.8 °C across cryogenic points at –196 °C, –90 °C and –38 °C

Fahrenheit equivalence:

±0.36 °F over the range –4 °F to +122 °F

Cryogenic points: –320.8 °F, –130 °F and –36.4 °F

All uncertainties are expressed at a 95 % confidence level with a coverage factor (k = 2), tested at an ambient temperature of 24 ± 4 °C.

The ITS-90 temperature scale is used, and calibration certificates display results in both °C and °F.

Humidity calibration accuracy

Temprecord relative humidity (RH) loggers are laboratory-calibrated with an expanded uncertainty of ±3 % RH across the range 12 % to 85 % RH, tested at a dry-bulb temperature of 20 °C to 30 °C.

All uncertainties are expressed at a 95 % confidence level with k = 2.

3-Point calibration for accuracy

Calibration integrated from the start

Temprecord’s calibration laboratory techniques — developed as part of our ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation — make 3-Point Calibration a standard process during the manufacture of all General Use, Scientific, and RH data loggers.

After assembly, each logger is precisely calibrated at:

–15 °C, 0 °C and +40 °C, or –38 °C, 0 °C and +40 °C for low-temperature probes, with optional specified points such as –80 °C.

This method achieves an accuracy of:

±0.2 °C (±0.36 °F) across –20 °C to +50 °C (–4 °F to +122 °F), or –40 °C to +50 °C (–40 °F to +122 °F) for low-temperature probes.

A range of –80 °C / 0 °C / +80 °C provides ±0.8 °C accuracy.

From Curve to Correction

An un-calibrated data logger typically displays a curved accuracy line deviating from true values. Temprecord’s 3-Point Calibration process applies precise correction factors at each temperature point, flattening the accuracy curve and ensuring stable, linear performance across the full measurement range.

Precision that’s built-in

This level of accuracy is possible only when a logger’s software can store and apply correction data internally. Temprecord is among the few global manufacturers that economically embed these correction factors into each individual logger, not just issue a paper certificate. While some manufacturers provide static calibration certificates, those merely list correction points — they don’t apply them. Without true software correction, a calibration certificate simply tells you how inaccurate a logger is.

Scope of accreditation

Three-Point Temperature & Humidity Calibrations
Precision You Can Measure

Temprecord’s ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory provides highly accurate three-point temperature calibrations and two-point humidity calibrations for all data loggers.

Each calibration is traceable, verified, and routinely reported to industry-recognised uncertainty values — ensuring confidence in every reading.

NIST Traceability

Temprecord are able to provide NIST traceability. [This is realized by sending a reference thermometer standard to be calibrated at a duel NIST and ISO17025 accredited calibration laboratory in the USA.]
