If you don't want an icon to be added to the desktop, uncheck the box labeled Create a desktop icon on the next screen. Similarly you can decide whether a quick launch icon is added to the taskbar.

A "Quick Launch" icon is a small button ( |
) on the computer taskbar that you can click to start the program. Quick launch icons are specific to the current logged in user only. If you install Temprecord and ask for a quick launch icon to be installed also, it will only appear on the desktop of the user who was logged in when Temprecord was installed. Other users of the computer will not see the quick launch option unless they manually add one to their taskbar also.
